RRB NTPC 2020 Recruitment CBT Exam Dates with Details

The RRB(Railway Recruitment Board) NTPC exam date for the 2019 examination is scheduled for December 15th, 2020. The Railway Board will announce the final schedule of RRB NTPC Exam date 2020 on the official websites of RRBs.




The RRB has announced a total of 35277 vacancies for the Non-Technical Popular Categories as per the latest notification released on February 28th, 2019. The applications for the RRB NTPC exam began on March 1st, 2019 to register for the exam.

* RRB NTPC Exam Pattern consists of the following stages:

No.1-    (Computer-Based Test) CBT Stage – 1

No.2-    (Computer-Based Test) CBT Stage – 2

No.3-    Skill / Aptitude Test

No.4-    Document Verification

No.5-    Medical Examination

*Note: The Skill Test is applicable for those candidates who apply for the post of Junior Accountant Assistant, Senior Clerk cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper, while the aptitude test is for those who have applied for the post of Traffic Assistant and Assistant Station Master.

* RRB NTPC Syllabus :

The sections for both the stages of the RRB NTPC CBT Exam are the same:

Subject 1:- Mathematics
Subject 2:- General Awareness
Subject 3:- General Intelligence and Logical Reasoning


*The only difference is the number of questions asked in each stage. 

*It is 100 questions in CBT Stage – 1 while it is 120 questions in CBT Stage – 2. Both stages have a duration of 90 minutes each.

* Mathematics:- Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics etc.

* General Awareness:- Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system, General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India, Current GK etc.

General Intelligence and Logical Reasoning:- Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement- Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.

With no major update available, the Railways Board would carry forward the RRB NTPC Exam 2019 to this year i.e. 2020. Hence, RRB NTPC Admit Card 2019 is expected to be released soon.
